RW had a fantastic time at the Foundation Stage sing up this morning. I am very proud of the children for their great behaviour and for singing so well. Thanks to Miss Wakefield (our favourite music teacher) for organising the day.

Next week we will be celebrating World Book Day. One of the great things that I love about working in Reception is the magic moment when children begin to read for themselves. On World Book Day we will be reading lots of stories together and trying to raise money to buy some new reading books so that every child can have the best chance at learning to read.
So please……
Bring something to put in our rainy day raffle prize box .
This can be anything that you could do indoors on a rainy day…a jigsaw, cake mix, paints, pens, colouring books etc
Buy a raffle ticket (£1 for five tickets)
On THURSDAY 4th MARCH come to school in fancy dress or in your pyjamas! (50p donation)
Thank you and keep reading!

We decided to make some food for the birds because the weather is very cold and snowy. We mixed cereal, seeds, fruit and bread together with vegetable fat. We put it in the fridge to set for 2 days. Then we put our wellies on and went out to find somewhere to hang the bird food. We tried to be quiet and looked out for birds. We spotted pigeons and magpies. We had fun. We hope the birds enjoy the food.

Hi everyone, are you enjoying the snow? It’s a great start to our topic this half term … we will be learning about the weather!
I hope you have played out in the snow. Have you made a snowman or some snow angels?
Draw a picture… don’t forget to write your name on it.
See if you can find out 3 things about snow and let me know.
If you can watch the weather forecast on television it will give you a great start to playing in our new role play area when school opens again.
Some things to think about….
What is a weather forecast?
What does it tell you?
What does the television presenter do?
What do they use?
How many different sorts of weather can you think of?
See you soon
Mrs W
